Pakistan gets 102,000 ESI Inc. ballot boxes for May Elections.

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (ESI) – Pakistan’s Election Commission has taken delivery of two lots of ESI, (successor to CODE Inc. also of Ottawa, Canada) transparent ballot boxes with two shipments of 61,000 and 41,000 for a total of 102,000 ballot boxes from the Canadian firm. The transparent ballot boxes were delivered on time for distribution throughout the country by ESI and used successfully during the recent presidential and legislative elections held on 11 May 2013.

ESI VP, Gordon Sinclair said Monday the boxes were produced at their facility in Europe and shipped by sea to Karachi where they were urgently distributed to centres in the port city as well as inland destinations Peshawar, Quetta and Lahore. Funding for the production and shipment of the boxes came from several international donors.

ESI and its predecessor CODE Inc. have been manufacturing and delivering a wide selection of ballot boxes to Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) worldwide for more than 20 years. It is a pioneer in the development of customized electoral materials and supplies.
